Do badges require editing my product images?
No. Badgify renders badges as CSS/SVG overlays via a theme app extension (no ScriptTag). Your product images are untouched.
Is the AI metered or capped?
No. AI is Bring-Your-Own-Key and fully unmetered — you connect your own provider key (US or China) and pay your provider directly. Badgify never sells AI credits.
What happens if AI is off or fails?
Everything keeps working. Badgify is deterministic-first: rules are the backbone and AI is purely additive. Badges never break when AI is disabled or a provider errors.
Why isn't my badge showing on the storefront?
Check that the Badgify theme app embed is enabled in your theme, that a rule matches the product, and that the badge is enabled. The in-app Help page has a full troubleshooting checklist.
Where is the bestseller badge?
Bestseller is a badge type/template. Create or open a bestseller badge under Badges, then use AI bestseller detection, rules, or bulk assignment to apply it. The dashboard distribution can show bestseller even when the advanced Top badges panel is locked by plan.
How many badges can stack on one product?
Free allows 1 badge per product, Starter allows up to 5, and Growth/Pro allow unlimited stacking. If too many badges match, Badgify trims by priority before writing storefront metafields so downgraded shops do not over-render old assignments.
Which analytics are plan-gated?
Growth unlocks full badge analytics. Pro unlocks advanced analytics and exportable analytics reports, plus A/B testing results. Config exports stay available because they are your own portability data.
How do A/B tests work?
A/B testing is a Pro feature. Experiments compare badge variants, hide internal tracking-shadow experiments from the merchant list, and report results only when enough data exists to make the comparison meaningful.
Which languages and currencies are supported?
Admin and storefront localize across 8 languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Simplified Chinese, Japanese). Monetary badge copy follows Shopify Markets currency.
Is there a free plan and a trial?
Yes — a free plan covering up to 50 products, plus a 7-day trial on all paid plans. No credit card required to start.
How do you handle my data and privacy?
No customer PII is ever sent to AI providers. BYOK keys are encrypted at rest. We honor Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks. See our Privacy Policy.
