Setup guides
- Enabling the theme app embed. In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes → Customize, open the App embeds panel (puzzle-piece icon), and turn on Badgify. Without this step badges won't render on the storefront even if they're configured.
- Creating your first badge and rule. Open Badgify → Badges → Create, pick a template or start from scratch, then add a Rule (Rules → Create) with the conditions that should trigger it — e.g. discount percentage, inventory level, or tags.
- Scheduling flash-sale badges. When creating a rule, set a start/end window — the badge activates and deactivates automatically, no manual toggling needed.
- Connecting a BYOK AI provider. In Settings → AI providers, add your own API key for OpenAI, Anthropic, DeepSeek, Qwen, or Zhipu. AI is fully optional — every feature has a deterministic fallback when no key is configured.
- Reading badge-level analytics & A/B results. Open any badge to see click-through rate, conversion rate, revenue influenced, and a sample-size confidence score. A/B tests (Pro) show per-variant results with a statistical-confidence gate before declaring a winner.
- Using badge stacking safely. Free stores render one badge per product, Starter renders up to five, and Growth/Pro can stack without a fixed cap. Use rule priority to decide which badges win when a product matches more badges than the plan allows.
- Applying bestseller badges. Create a bestseller badge, then run AI bestseller detection, use bulk assignment, or add a rule based on product data. Re-running detection updates prior AI assignments atomically instead of dropping existing coverage midway.
- Exporting analytics. Pro merchants can export advanced analytics reports from the export endpoint. Badge, rule, assignment, and audit exports remain available as merchant-owned configuration/history data.
