What we collect

Badgify processes product and store data needed to assign badges: product titles, prices, compare-at prices, inventory levels, tags, collections, vendor, product type, and publish dates. We store per-shop settings, badge designs, rules, schedules, assignments, and an audit log. We store your Shopify session token to operate the app.

We do not collect customer (buyer) personal information. Badgify does not need or store buyer PII to function.

AI / BYOK data handling

AI features are Bring-Your-Own-Key. When you enable them, only the minimum non-personal product metadata (e.g., title, sales counts, inventory) is sent to your chosen provider to compute a suggestion. We never send customer PII to AI providers. Provider region (US or China) is shown so you can meet your own data-residency needs. Your API keys are encrypted at rest and never logged or returned to the browser.

Retention

Shop data is retained while the app is installed. On uninstall and on a Shopify shop/redact request, we delete shop-scoped data. Audit-log retention follows your plan (7 days to 1 year).

Shopify mandatory privacy webhooks

We implement customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact. Since we hold no buyer PII, customer requests have nothing to compile or erase; shop redaction deletes all shop-scoped data.
