Getting started
What exactly is Webb9?
Webb9 is a managed platform that designs and operates your website, connects it to a business dashboard, and adds optional AI chatbot and voice receptionist — billed as one service instead of a stack of separate subscriptions.
Who is Webb9 for?
Small and local service businesses that have outgrown a DIY site builder plus a pile of disconnected tools (CRM, chatbot, review app, receptionist) and want one connected system that keeps working after launch.
How is Webb9 different from a website builder or a normal agency?
A builder hands you software to operate yourself; a typical agency ships a site and disappears. Webb9 builds the site and keeps operating it, with the dashboard and AI wired into the same lead record.
What do I get on day one versus over time?
Setup delivers the launched website, dashboard, hosting, and domain. The monthly plan keeps it hosted, supported, measured, and improving, with a monthly value report that shows what the platform produced.
How long does it take to launch?
It depends on scope and how ready your content is. A Launch-tier site is fastest; larger builds take longer. We agree a realistic plan during discovery rather than promising a generic number.
Can I start small and upgrade later?
Yes. Plans are designed to move up — Launch → Grow → Run → Scale — without rebuilding, and add-ons attach to any plan as your needs grow.
Plans & pricing
What are the main plans?
Launch Online ($149/mo), Grow Online ($299/mo), Run Online ($599/mo — the most complete starting point), and Scale Online ($999/mo). Every plan includes managed hosting, SSL, backups, and the business dashboard.
Why is there a setup fee?
Setup funds discovery, content structure, implementation, migration, launch QA, and the operating foundation behind the recurring service. It also makes each engagement standalone-profitable rather than betting everything on retention.
Is there a contract or minimum term?
Plans carry a 12-month minimum term or a standalone-profitable setup fee. Choosing annual prepay gives you two months free.
What is the difference between the setup fee and the monthly plan?
Setup is the one-time build. The monthly plan is hosting, support, measurement, usage allowances, and ongoing improvement — the part that keeps the platform earning its place.
What add-ons are available?
AI voice receptionist, extra voice minutes and SMS, social media management, local SEO, paid ads management, extra email seats, review monitoring, and owner-app seats — each attaches to your plan.
Do you offer custom quotes?
Yes. À la carte services — from individual pages to custom web apps and advanced dashboards — are quoted per scope. The demo request form gathers what we need to tailor a plan and quote.
Can I see pricing in my local currency?
Yes. The pricing page shows estimates in several currencies. USD, EUR, and GBP are held at parity; every other currency converts from USD. Final checkout presentment is set by Stripe at live checkout.
Billing & usage
How does AI, voice, and SMS usage billing work?
Run and Scale include monthly allowances (AI tokens, voice minutes, SMS segments). Usage beyond the allowance is billed at published overage rates, shown as itemized lines on your invoice.
What are the overage rates?
Currently from $5 per 1,000 AI-token units, $0.12 per voice minute, and $0.02 per SMS segment, plus carrier passthrough where it applies.
Will I get a surprise bill?
No. Hard caps and threshold alerts are enforced before usage runs away, and owners can raise or lower caps in Billing at any time.
How am I billed overall?
Your base plan, any add-ons, hosting-mode line items (for example a dedicated VPS), and itemized overages all appear on one platform invoice.
Do you take a percentage of my sales?
No. For your own commerce you connect your own Stripe account, keep your revenue, and simply pay for the plan and add-ons.
What happens if a payment fails?
Automated dunning retries the charge and notifies you before any service impact — nothing is cut off without warning.
Websites & design
Do you design the website, or do I?
We design and build it around your goals and content; you review and approve. It is a done-for-you build, not a DIY editor you have to learn.
Can I request changes after launch?
Yes. Each plan includes a monthly updates and content allowance; larger changes are quoted as à la carte work.
Do I get a custom design or a template?
Designs are tailored to your business and industry with specific vocabulary and structure — not keyword-swapped boilerplate.
Is my site mobile-friendly and accessible?
Sites are mobile-first by default. Dedicated accessibility work (WCAG / ADA) is available as a focused service where you need documented compliance.
Can you redesign my existing site?
Yes. We audit the current journey, preserve valuable search equity, migrate content, and rebuild around measurable conversion paths.
Can I sell products or take bookings online?
Yes. Ecommerce and bookings/orders are available from Grow upward, connected to inventory, customer messages, and reporting.
Dashboard & operations
What is the business dashboard?
One operating surface for leads, messages, reviews, bookings/orders, and a monthly value report — instead of scattered inboxes and disconnected subscriptions.
Does every lead land in one place?
Yes. Website forms and AI call or chat outcomes feed the same lead record that powers follow-up and the value report.
Can my team use it?
Yes, with role-based access — owner, admin, manager, staff, and viewer. Extra seats are available as an add-on.
Is there a mobile app for owners?
Yes. An owner mobile app surfaces the daily summary and approvals; seats are an add-on. Native push notifications activate as store and push credentials are configured.
What is in the monthly value report?
An automated monthly email and dashboard view: calls handled, leads captured, messages answered, bookings/orders, reviews requested and received, website visits, and estimated revenue influenced.
Can I manage jobs and scheduling in the dashboard?
Yes. Service Operations — jobs and work orders, a schedule and dispatch calendar with double-booking warnings, a priced service catalog, and quote-to-job-to-invoice conversions — is included from the Grow plan upward.
AI chatbot & receptionist
Will the AI make up answers it does not know?
No. It answers only from approved knowledge, discloses that it is AI, handles uncertainty honestly, and escalates to a person rather than inventing a response.
How does the AI voice receptionist work?
It answers routine calls in business-hours or overflow mode, captures intent, and routes valuable moments to a human by your rules. Consent-aware summaries feed the lead record.
Is the AI disclosed to callers and visitors?
Yes. Disclosure is built in, and consent-aware call summaries are the default behavior.
Can I control what the AI can and cannot say?
Yes. You approve the knowledge base. Anything outside it becomes a human handoff, not an invented answer.
Can I bring my own AI provider key (BYOK)?
Yes. You can supply your own provider key; those calls run on your account, are billed to you by the provider, and are excluded from your Webb9 usage caps.
What happens when the AI is not confident?
It hands off to a person and captures the lead, rather than guessing at an answer.
Messaging, telephony & compliance
Can Webb9 send SMS from my business?
Yes, once A2P 10DLC registration is approved and recipients have consented. Unregistered or non-consented sends are blocked by design and logged.
Do you handle STOP / opt-out compliance?
Yes. Opt-outs are honored automatically and recorded against the recipient.
Can I get a business phone number?
Yes. Numbers can be provisioned with forwarding modes, and number porting from an existing carrier is supported.
Do you send transactional and marketing email?
Transactional email is live. Per-tenant marketing sending requires domain verification (SPF/DKIM/DMARC), which we set up for your sending domain.
Is call intelligence or recording available?
Call intelligence and consent-aware summaries are available. Recording configuration follows your jurisdiction’s consent rules.
WhatsApp Growth Inbox
What is the WhatsApp Growth Inbox?
A shared WhatsApp business inbox inside your Webb9 dashboard: conversations become CRM leads, campaigns reach only opted-in contacts, and an assistant answers from your approved knowledge — all on the official WhatsApp Business Platform.
Do I keep ownership of my WhatsApp number?
Yes. You connect your own WhatsApp Business Account through Meta’s official signup and verify the number yourself. Webb9 only holds the access you grant, and you can revoke it at any time.
What does WhatsApp messaging cost?
Webb9 charges a platform add-on fee (see pricing). Meta bills its per-conversation fees to your own WhatsApp Business Account directly — transparently, with no Webb9 markup.
How does Webb9 keep WhatsApp messaging compliant?
Consent with source and timestamp, instant STOP handling, the 24-hour customer-service window, and approved-template rules are enforced in code — nobody on your team can accidentally break WhatsApp’s policies.
Hosting, domains & security
Who hosts my website?
Webb9 manages hosting on a business instance — custom domain and SSL, backups, monitoring, and updates all included.
Do I own my domain?
Yes. Domains are client-owned, and eligible annual plans include a free .com for the first year.
Can I use my own server?
Yes, on Scale (client-owned or hybrid hosting) with a support retainer. Hosting-mode migrations are a defined, priced service.
Is my data backed up?
Yes. Backups, monitoring, and clear recovery expectations are part of the managed service.
How is my platform secured?
Authentication is role-based and isolated per tenant, secrets are stored encrypted, and webhooks are signature-verified. An independent penetration test is part of the production-readiness gate.
Is there a dedicated (single-tenant) hosting option?
Yes. A dedicated VPS is included on Scale and available as a paid upgrade on Run.
Data, ownership & contracts
Do I own my content and data?
Yes. Your content and deliverables are identified in your project terms, and you can take them with you.
Is there vendor lock-in?
The service is designed to avoid lock-in by obscurity: customer-owned domains, and a self-host export path where the contract allows.
What are your legal terms?
Terms of Service, Privacy, Refund, Acceptable Use, Cookies, a DPA, an SLA, Subprocessors, AI Use, and Messaging terms are all published on the site.
How do you handle my customers’ data?
Under a Data Processing Addendum, with per-tenant isolation and consent records captured on every form.
Growth, reviews & SEO
Can Webb9 help me get more reviews?
Yes. Review generation and monitoring are included from Grow upward; an AI review-reply assistant is available as an add-on.
Do you do SEO?
Technical SEO and a local SEO foundation are included from Grow; deeper ongoing local SEO is available monthly.
Can you run my social media and ads?
Yes, as add-ons: social media management and paid ads management (ads bill the plan plus a percentage of ad spend).
Do you post to social media automatically?
Launch scope is content planning, AI captions, approvals, a content calendar, media storage, and a manual posting workflow. Direct auto-posting is a planned future enhancement.
Support & onboarding
How does onboarding work?
Discovery, content structure, implementation, migration, and launch QA — then you go live with the dashboard and value report.
What support is included?
Support scales with your plan, up to priority support on Run and dedicated support on Scale.
Can Webb9 grow with my business?
Yes. Multi-location readiness, custom workflows, integrations, and PWA or mobile-app options are available on Scale.
Do you offer white-label or agency plans?
Yes. Agencies get a platform fee plus per-sub-account pricing, set their own retail price, and keep the margin.
